Cover compounds

Heat & High-Temperature Covers

Special-property compounds selected for hot materials and the actual thermal duty cycle.

Product overview

Built around the duty.

Heat-resistant covers are selected from material temperature, lump size, loading cycle, belt speed and cooling time. AS 1332 does not provide one universal temperature grade equivalent to AS-N, AS-M or AS-A, so the required thermal performance must be written into the project specification.

AS classification routeGrade Z / special property where specified

Construction & selection

What defines this product.

  • Compound selected for continuous and peak exposure
  • Heat ageing considered with mechanical wear
  • Carcass and skim compatibility reviewed
  • Thermal cycling considered, not only material temperature

Typical applications
