Cover compounds

Oil-Resistant Covers

Specialised compounds selected to resist swelling and loss of properties from mineral, animal or vegetable oils.

Product overview

Built around the duty.

Oil can penetrate standard rubber, causing swelling, softening and a loss of mechanical properties. Oil-resistant cover selection starts with the oil type, concentration, material temperature and exposure duration because mineral oils, greases and vegetable oils do not affect every polymer in the same way.
